Ontario man worries for family in Turkey after devastating quake  | 24CA News

An Ontario man says he’s nervous about his mother and father’ entry to meals, water and different necessities after they survived the lethal earthquake that has devastated components of Turkey and Syria.

Seyfi Tomar, who lives in Woodbridge, Ont., says his Canadian mother and father are of their 90s and moved again to Turkey through the pandemic.

He says they made it out of their dwelling when the quake struck their village in southeastern Turkey, however he’s now nervous about their means to search out fundamentals akin to meals and ongoing shelter.

Tomar says he’s now working to assist his mother and father get out of the area hit hardest by the quake

He says a few of his distant cousins and others he knew have been killed within the quake.

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Monday morning has killed greater than 11,000 individuals and destroyed 1000’s of buildings.
