Amazon layoffs: Company to cut nearly 18K jobs in Canada, U.S., Costa Rica – National | 24CA News
Amazon.com Inc AMZN.O will reduce some jobs within the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica by the tip of Wednesday as a part of its plan to put off 18,000 staff, the e-commerce big stated in a memo to employees seen by Reuters.
The layoffs are the most recent within the U.S. know-how sector, with firms slicing their bloated workforce and slashing prices to reverse pandemic-era excesses and put together for a worsening world financial system.

Amazon.com Chief Executive Andy Jassy stated earlier this month the cuts, about 6% of the corporate’s roughly 300,000 company staff, would largely affect the e-commerce and human sources divisions.
Microsoft MSFT.O stated earlier on Wednesday it could reduce about 10,000 jobs and take a $1.2-billion cost.
