WestJet cancels summer flights between Halifax and Europe

WestJet has suspended its transatlantic service between Halifax and Europe for summer time 2023.

The airline says the choice to droop transatlantic flights from quite a lot of Canadian cities is a response to “capacity constraints impacting the aviation ecosystem.”

In a assertion Monday, the chief vice-president and chief business officer of the WestJet group stated Halifax “remains an integral part” of the airline’s community.

WestJet says tickets for the routes haven’t been out there on the market for summer time 2023.

The airline has indicated the suspension of transatlantic service is short-term and the choice will probably be re-evaluated in 2024.
