Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us expanding into former Bed Bath & Beyond locations
TORONTO –
Toys “R” Us is opening 9 new shops in former Bed Bath & Beyond places, in addition to two new Babies “R” Us shops.
In a news launch, Doug Putman of Putman Investments stated his firm acquired the vast majority of Bed Bath & Beyond places throughout Canada after the retailer shuttered its operations north of the border.
Putman introduced earlier this month that he was launching a wholly new house retailer retailer referred to as Rooms + areas in 21 former Bed Bath & Beyond and Buybuy Baby places.
Putman stated Wednesday that the brand new Rooms + areas places can even have Toys “R” Us outlets contained in the shops.
He stated the enlargement will carry the full variety of Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us places throughout the nation to 107.
Seven of the brand new shops are in Alberta and B.C., with the remainder in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia and are scheduled to open both over the summer time or in October.
