These dogs used their noses to explore new pop-up ‘Sniffscape’ in Kitchener | 24CA News

Happy canine are exploring an entire world of recent smells on the Sniffscape pop-up expertise by Dog Friendly Okay-W.

The pop-up is positioned inside Short Finger Brewing Co. in Kitchener and might be open Tuesday to Sunday till the top of March.

Justine Sparling is the director and co-founder of Dog Friendly Okay-W, a neighborhood non-profit that goals to create a secure, accessible and inclusive dog-friendly group. Kersty Kearny, director of Dog Friendly Okay-W, mentioned the assorted rooms and actions present canine with one thing enjoyable to discover in the course of the colder months when there is probably not as many alternatives to spend time outside.

“So having the different themed rooms allowed us to implement different enrichment themes and strands that allow people to see what their dog likes,” she mentioned.

The area is run by volunteers like Brooke Clark, who loves seeing all the blissful canine visiting — even those that are a bit of nervous.

“Even if your dog is reactive, scared or anxious, this is the event to bring them to because there’s a quiet hours option, where it is just you and your dog so you can go wherever your dog leads you,” she mentioned. “It’s great interacting with the community. It’s really great that we can cater to all kinds of dogs.”
