Mireille Vienneau obtained fairly a shock this week when she discovered a moose calf had gone for a swim in her yard pool.
Vienneau lives in Le Goulet, a small neighborhood in northeastern New Brunswick, close to Shippagan.
Speaking to Radio-Canada, she stated the moose fell into her in-ground pool on Tuesday afternoon and tried to swim its method out, whereas its mom watched from a distance.
“When my husband arrived from work, we tried to get the calf out, but he was in the deeper part of the pool,” stated Vienneau.
“He was angry, he was kicking the water.”
Mireille Vienneau says the calf fell into her dwelling’s in-ground pool within the New Brunswick village of Le Goulet. The younger animal tried swimming its method out for greater than an hour whereas its mom watched from a distance.
She stated they tried for greater than an hour and a half to rescue the calf earlier than giving up.
“He was tired and then he found a way out, and he went through the back yard,” stated Vienneau.

She stated moose usually are not strangers to the village, “but in my swimming pool, it’s a lot less pleasant.”
