TC Energy recovers nearly 2,600 barrels of oil and water from Keystone leak

CALGARY –

TC Energy Corp. says it has recovered almost 2,600 barrels of oil and water from a creek following a leak in its Keystone pipeline final week.

The firm says vacuum vehicles and crews are working across the clock with a number of booms arrange downstream of the discharge level to comprise the oil.

TC Energy says oil has not breached the containment space.

The firm’s Keystone pipeline suffered the worst leak in its historical past final week, when roughly 14,000 barrels of oil spilled right into a creek in Washington County, Kan.

The Keystone pipeline system stays shut down and a restart date has not been set.

The firm has mentioned it will likely be conducting a full investigation, in co-operation with regulators, into the reason for the spill.
