CALGARY, Alberta – Hockey Canada has introduced the 23 gamers named to Canada’s National Women’s Team who will look to reclaim the gold medal on the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship, April 3-14 in Utica, New York.

“It is always a difficult decision when it comes to the final selection process, but we challenged our coaching staff to look at our entire athlete pool and determine who we felt would give us the best chance at competing for a gold medal,” mentioned Kingsbury. “We are extremely excited and confident in these 23 players, a group with championship experience, veteran leadership, character and youth, and we are excited for the journey to begin.”

The 10-team match options Canada in Group A with Czechia, Finland, Switzerland and the host United States, whereas Group B consists of China, Denmark, Germany, Japan and Sweden.

Canada opens Women’s Worlds towards Finland on April 4, and faces Switzerland on April 5 and Czechia on April 7 earlier than closing out the preliminary spherical towards its rivals from the United States on April 8.
