Suarez retirement rumors cause concern at Brazil’s Gremio
SAO PAULO — Luis Suárez’s teammates at Gremio and the Brazilian membership’s president expressed concern Wednesday after media hypothesis that the striker is on the verge of retirement due to persistent knee ache.
The 36-year-old former Barcelona and Liverpool striker has not commented on Brazilian media reviews this week, however Gremio president Alberto Guerra, defender Reinaldo and midfielder João Paulo Bitello have spoken publicly concerning the veteran participant’s difficulties in coaching and matches. Suárez joined Gremio in December. He has performed 25 matches for the Southern Brazil staff and scored 11 objectives. His contract is because of expire on the finish of 2024.
