Ligue 1: Brest beats Nantes 2-0, moves out of drop zone

Brest moved out of the French league’s relegation zone with a 2-0 victory over fellow struggler Nantes on Wednesday.

Jeremy Le Douaron and Mathias Pereira Lage scored within the first half and Brest jumped three spots within the standings to 14th place with 5 video games remaining within the season.

The victory over its Brittany rival prolonged Brest’s unbeaten run to 6 video games.

Nantes, which misplaced 5-1 to Toulouse within the French Cup last on Saturday, slipped one spot into the relegation zone on objective distinction under Sixteenth-place Strasbourg.

Strasbourg visits Nantes on Sunday.
