‘Is there still a debate?’: Ageless Messi dazzles in World Cup semifinal

At simply 35 years previous, Lionel Messi is having his greatest World Cup — and he seems to solely be getting higher because the match chugs alongside.

In Tuesday’s 3-0 semifinal win towards Croatia, Messi opened the scoring from the penalty spot, smashing a shot over ‘keeper Dominik Livakovic. The purpose was his fifth of the match to tie French star Kylian Mbappe, and his eleventh World Cup purpose all-time to develop into Argentina’s main scorer.

Then, after Argentina doubled the rating, Messi gathered the ball on the correct facet of the pitch, blistered down the correct facet, and after toying with star Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol, deked his manner into the field and laid a move to Julian Alvarez for purpose.

Is there a debate over who’s the best of all time? Social media didn’t appear to assume so.
