CF Montreal signs goalkeeper Pantemis to 2023 deal with two option years
CF Montréal has signed goalkeeper James Pantemis to a brand new contract for the 2023 Major League Soccer season, with choice years in 2024 and 2025.
The 25-year-old Montreal native has performed 36 video games in all competitions together with his hometown MLS membership since making his skilled debut on July 24, 2019, in a 1-0 Canadian Championship win over York United FC.
He has a 17-11-8 report with Montreal with 9 clear sheets.
Pantemis has but to win a cap with Canada’s senior males’s crew, although he was on the squad’s roster for the World Cup in Qatar. He has represented Canada on the under-20, U21 and U23 ranges.
“We initially decided not to exercise James’ contract option as only one option year remained,” CF Montréal vp and chief sporting officer Olivier Renard mentioned in a launch. “We wanted to make sure to keep him with us for several years and we’re very happy that he has agreed to continue to be part of our project.”
