Canada Soccer fines Toronto FC for brawl in BMO Field stands
TORONTO — Canada Soccer’s disciplinary panel has fined Toronto FC an undisclosed quantity cash in reference to rowdy fan behaviour throughout a Canadian Championship sport towards CF Montreal on May 9 at BMO Field.
Canada Soccer mentioned the group did not adjust to the protection and safety requirements demanded by the match.

TFC issued everlasting bans to 4 supporters after fights broke out within the stands throughout a 2-1 loss to Montreal.
Following the ultimate whistle, Toronto midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye needed to be restrained on the sphere from going after some abusive TFC followers within the south stand. Video posted on social media confirmed a fan throwing a megaphone on the sphere in Kaye’s course.
CF Montreal responded by banning visiting Toronto followers from a May 13 MLS rematch at Saputo Stadium, closing the visiting supporters’ part.
Montreal gained the second sport 2-0.
