NBA: Grizzlies suspends Ja Morant after another gun video appears on social media

Memphis guard Ja Morant has been suspended by the Grizzlies after one other social media video during which he seems to be holding a gun, and the NBA is trying into the matter once more as effectively.

“We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass stated.

The Grizzlies stated Morant is suspended from all workforce actions, “pending league review.”

The newest video reveals Morant within the entrance seat of a car, showing to carry the gun whereas somebody filmed him and broadcast it reside over Instagram. It is unclear the place or when the video was filmed.

Morant was suspended by the NBA for eight video games this season after the All-Star guard was seen on video holding a gun at a membership within the Denver suburbs. The league stated the suspension was for “conduct detrimental to the league.”

That suspension price Morant about $669,000 in wage.

“Ja’s conduct was irresponsible, reckless and potentially very dangerous,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stated in a press release in March. “It also has serious consequences given his enormous following and influence, particularly among young fans who look up to him.”
