Yankees’ Donaldson to start rehab assignment Thursday, Stanton not far behind
NEW YORK (AP) — New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson will begin a minor league harm rehabilitation task on Thursday and slugger Giancarlo Stanton might start one as quickly as this weekend.
New York supervisor Aaron Boone stated Donaldson, sidelined since April 5 by a strained proper hamstring, will report back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre on Thursday. His first rehab task was lower quick after one sport with Double-A Somerset on April 18.
Boone stated Donaldson probably will play the sector on Thursday, be a delegated hitter Friday, be off Saturday and play Sunday.
New York opens a three-game sequence in Seattle on Monday, then performs on the Los Angeles Dodgers beginning June 2.
