Troll Job? Yankees’ Judge covers his eyes after single vs. Blue Jays

It certain appeared like Aaron Judge may need been trolling the Toronto Blue Jays after his base hit on Wednesday.

The New York Yankees slugger lined his eyes together with his hand after his single off Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt within the third recreation of the sequence at Rogers Centre.

“Judge liked getting that hit. He covered his eyes, too. Hmmm,” Yankees play-by-play man Michael Kay mentioned after the YES Network confirmed the replay.

Just two nights earlier, after all, Blue Jays supervisor John Schneider questioned aloud why Judge was shifting his eyes throughout an at-bat to gaze sideways. Later in that at-bat, he hit a house run.

The subsequent day, Schneider mentioned the Blue Jays had talked to Major League Baseball about having the bottom coaches keep within the coaches’ bins — presumably to keep away from potential signal stealing.

Judge denied any accusations of wrongdoing, saying he was making the movement to attempt to get his teammates to cool down following the ejection of supervisor Aaron Boone.

The controversy hasn’t affected Judge, who hit his third house run of the sequence on Tuesday to interrupt a tie recreation within the eighth inning, with the Yankees occurring to win 6-3.
