Report: Mets acquire RHP Flexen from Mariners in swap of relievers
The New York Mets have acquired pitchers Chris Flexen and Trevor Gott from the Seattle Mariners in alternate for left-handed reliever Zach Muckenhirn, per The Athletic‘s Ken Rosenthal.

Flexen and Gott have primarily labored out of the Mariners’ bullpen in 2023, however the 29-year-old Flexen was designated for project final week.
A former Met, Flexen has spent the previous three seasons with Seattle, throwing 359.1 innings. In 2023, he’s posted a 7.71 ERA over 17 appearances — 4 of them begins.
