Report: LHP Andrew Heaney agrees to two-year, M deal with Rangers

The Texas Rangers have agreed to a contract with left-handed starter Andrew Heaney, per The Athletic‘s Ken Rosenthal.

The contract is predicted to be for 2 years and $25 million with an opt-out that may enhance it to $37 million, per ESPN’s Alden González.

The Rangers proceed their huge low season, including one other starter to their rotation after signing Jacob deGrom on Friday.

Heaney spent 2022 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, showing in 16 video games. The 31-year-old threw 72.2 innings with a 3.10 ERA and 110 strikeouts.
