Report: Blue Jays LHP Ryu targeting July return after Tommy John Surgery

Speaking to the media earlier than leaving South Korea to proceed his rehab within the United States, Ryu mentioned he’s aiming to get again on the mound following the 2023 All-Star break, per the Korea Times.
The 35-year-old southpaw made simply six begins for the Blue Jays in 2022, ending his season with a 5.67 ERA in 27 innings pitched.
Ryu is getting into the ultimate season of a four-year, $80 million deal he signed with Toronto earlier than the 2020 season.
