Report: Blue Jays ‘front-runners’ to acquire Mariners’ Teoscar Hernandez
The Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly on the entrance of the road to amass and reunite with Seattle Mariners outfielder Teoscar Hernandez.

Z101 Digital’s Hector Gomez reported Tuesday that the Blue Jays have emerged because the “front-runners” to commerce for the previous Toronto outfielder.
Hernandez was despatched to Seattle within the low season deal that introduced reliever Erik Swanson and pitching prospect Adam Macko to the Blue Jays.
After spending components of six seasons in Toronto, Hernandez has struggled with the Mariners, hitting simply .238 whereas main MLB in strikeouts. He has, nevertheless, hit left-handed pitching effectively, slashing .303/.323./.573 towards southpaws. Hernandez has 16 complete house runs on the season.
Before the Mariners-Blue Jays matchup earlier this month, Hernandez didn’t rule out a return to Toronto, telling Blair & Barker “I’m not going to say no” to a possible reunion.
Hernandez ranks seventh on the Blue Jays’ all-time leaderboard in slugging share (.503), eleventh in house runs (129) and thirteenth in OPS (.823).
Other groups have been linked to Hernandez, with MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reporting Monday that “at least half a dozen” groups have an interest within the 30-year-old slugger.
