Pirates SS Oneil Cruz suffers fractured ankle in home-plate collision
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz left Sunday’s sport towards the Chicago White Sox with a left leg damage following a collision at residence plate.
Cruz was making an attempt to attain from third on a chopper by Ke’Bryan Hayes when Cruz’s leg bent awkwardly beneath him whereas making an attempt to slip. Cruz’s leg appeared to collide with the legs of catcher Seby Zavala, who simply tagged out Cruz.
