Pham has deal with Mets (report)

The Mets are finalizing a take care of veteran outfielder Tommy Pham, in keeping with MLB Network insider Jon Heyman.

The membership has not confirmed the deal, which was first reported by SNY’s Andy Martino.

Pham, who turns 35 in March, slashed .236/.312/.374 over 144 video games between the Reds and Red Sox final season. He has a .696 OPS during the last three seasons after posting an .844 OPS from 2014-19 with the Cardinals and Rays.

Despite his current struggles, Pham has turned in a pair of 20-20 seasons, together with one in 2019 when he hit 21 homers and stole 25 bases for Tampa Bay. The different got here in ’17, when he racked up 23 dwelling runs and 25 stolen bases for St. Louis.

Pham figures to supply further depth to a Mets outfield that options Mark Canha in left, Brandon Nimmo in heart and Starling Marte in proper.
