Padres slugger Machado has fracture in left hand, status uncertain
SAN DIEGO (AP) — San Diego Padres slugger Manny Machado has a small fracture in his left hand and the workforce isn’t certain if he would require a stint on the injured listing.
Machado was damage when he was hit by a pitch in Monday evening’s 4-0 win towards the Kansas City Royals. Padres supervisor Bob Melvin stated X-rays that evening didn’t present a fracture, however Machado had a CT scan and MRI on Tuesday that exposed a fractured metacarpal.
After a 4-3 loss to the Royals on Wednesday, the star third baseman was requested if occurring the injured listing is a chance.
“I don’t know. We’ll see,” Machado stated.
