No. 1 Draft pick Skenes gets promoted to Double-A

No. 1 Draft decide Paul Skenes is already on his method to Double-A. The hard-throwing right-hander is being promoted to Altoona and is predicted to make his first outing for them on Saturday, the Pirates introduced on Monday.

The 21-year-old Skenes — ranked by MLB Pipeline because the No. 3 prospect in baseball — had made simply two begins for Single-A Bradenton after being taken as the highest total decide within the 2023 Draft in July.
