MLB, Sabathias throw a party with a purpose
In celebration of the vacation season, the MLB Black ERG (Employee Resource Group) not too long ago volunteered with the PitCCh In Foundation Inc. to host a Holiday Party Caravan. Alongside former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and his spouse, Amber, who began the inspiration in 2008, these organizations partnered to host an unforgettable occasion for youth from inner-city Boys & Girls Clubs.
“Youth development and empowerment is incredibly important,” stated Ashley Britt, the co-chair of MLB Black ERG. “They deserve mentors who are dedicated to helping them achieve their fullest potential by encouraging them to analyze their own strengths and build self-esteem. Each year, The PitCCh In Foundation has continued to show this.”
The evening was a powerful success, with loads of enjoyable, meals and a popup retailer for teenagers to get important gadgets and different issues.
