A girl who received hit within the face by a scorching foul ball off the bat of Bo Bichette is about to obtain 110 baseball playing cards along with her image on them, and a signed ball from the Blue Jays shortstop. 

Collectible playing cards firm Topps says it’ll ship the customized playing cards to Liz McGuire, who received hit at a weekend sport in Toronto by a ball estimated to have been travelling 110 miles per hour.

Topps says in a put up on X, beforehand often called Twitter, that it produced 110 copies of the cardboard that present McGuire with an unlimited bump on her brow above her proper eye. 

The firm says it’s giving all of the playing cards to McGuire. 

The Blue Jays mentioned in an emailed assertion that medics attended to the fan instantly after the incident, noting that she selected to stay in her seat for the remainder of the sport. 

“Fan security is a precedence and the Blue Jays have quite a few precautions in place to make sure a secure setting for all followers on the ballpark, together with protecting netting on the 100 degree between first and third base; EMS, medical doctors, and nurses at each sport; and workers checking on followers instantly following when objects come into the stands.,” mentioned a spokesperson for the Blue Jays.

“During Friday evening’s sport, medics instantly attended to the fan after the incident. The fan was seen by the medical workforce and selected to return to her seats for the rest of the sport. The Blue Jays adopted up with the fan and invited her to be our visitor at an upcoming sport and supplied her a signed ball from Bo Bichette.”
