Cubs agree to one-year deal with reliever Boxberger (source)
The Cubs agreed to a one-year, $2.8 million contract with right-handed reliever Brad Boxberger on Thursday, in line with a supply.
The membership has not confirmed the deal.
Boxberger, 34, is coming off a 2022 marketing campaign through which he appeared in 70 video games out of the Brewers’ bullpen, going 4-3 with a 2.95 ERA throughout 64 innings whereas placing out 68 and strolling 27. Over 11 massive league seasons with six groups, Boxberger has a 31-37 document with a 3.44 ERA and 82 saves in 484 video games — all in reduction.
In 2015 whereas with the Rays, Boxberger led the AL in saves with 41.
