Canadian Baseball Network announces winners for 2022 awards
Edouard Julien, Mitch Bratt, L.P. Pelletier and Miguel Cienfuegos have been named the winners of the Canadian Baseball Network‘s 2022 awards on Monday.
Julien, from Quebec City, claimed the Randy Echlin Award as the highest Canadian minor league hitter within the affiliated ranks. The 23-year-old infielder, who was drafted within the 18th spherical by Minnesota in 2019, hit .300 and posted a .441 on-base share in 113 video games with the Wichita Wind Surge, the Twins’ double-A affiliate.
Bratt took the Wayne Norton Award because the Canadian minor league pitcher of the yr. The southpaw from Newmarket, Ont., had a 2.45 ERA in 19 appearances (18 begins) with the Low-A Down East Wood Ducks with the Texas Rangers group.
