Bregman drives in four runs as Astros crush Tigers
DETROIT (AP) — Alex Bregman homered, hit two doubles and drove in 4 runs to steer the Houston Astros to a 9-2 win over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday evening.
Bregman drove in Jose Altuve within the first, fifth and sixth innings and scored within the fifth, sixth and eighth. Jose Abreu and Chas McCormick every drove in a pair of runs.
Hunter Brown (10-9) allowed two runs on 4 hits and two walks in 5 innings. He struck out 9, one in need of his season-high set on May 26 in opposition to Oakland. Tigers batters struck out 15 instances.
