Boone gets 1-game suspension, out for opener vs. Padres

Yankees supervisor Aaron Boone acquired a one-game suspension and an undisclosed superb on Friday for his latest conduct towards Major League Umpires, together with the actions following his ejection from Thursday evening’s 3-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium.  Michael Hill, Major League Baseball’s Senior Vice President for On-Field Operations, made the announcement.

Boone determined to serve his suspension on Friday, when the Yankees  host the San Diego Padres.
