Blue Jays’ Chad Green enters concussion protocol, out at least seven days
Toronto Blue Jays reliever Chad Green has hit a setback in his return.
The right-hander has entered concussion protocol following a scary second in a rehab look on Tuesday with triple-A Buffalo.

Green will now be sidelined no less than seven days, the Blue Jays instructed reporters Wednesday.
The incident occurred within the backside of the fifth inning when catcher Tyler Heineman tried to catch Worcester’s Ryan Fitzgerald stealing second base and clipped Green on the pinnacle.

The former New York Yankee was taken out of the sport as a precaution. Green ended up pitching 0.2 innings in his sixth rehab look of the summer season.
Green underwent Tommy John surgical procedure in June of 2022. The 31-year-old spent the earlier seven seasons with the New York Yankees, having his finest 12 months in 2017 when he posted a 1.83 ERA and allowed simply 4 house runs over 69.0 innings.
