Baty, red-hot in Minors, getting called up to Mets (report)
The Mets are planning to name up their No. 2 prospect, third baseman Brett Baty, in line with a report from SNY’s Andy Martino on Sunday. The group has not confirmed the news.
Baty, whom MLB Pipeline ranks because the No. 19 general prospect, has been on fireplace on the plate for Triple-A Syracuse, hitting .400 with 5 homers, two doubles and a 1.386 OPS in 9 video games. Baty made his MLB debut final Aug. 17, memorably hitting a house run in his first at-bat.
