Houston Astros star participant Jose Altuve is prepared for a comeback after being sidelined for nearly two months resulting from a thumb harm. Fresh off the surgical procedure, he’ll return to the lineup for Astros’ sport towards Oakland Athletics on Friday night time.

The 33-year-old second baseman sustained the harm throughout a sport between Venezuela and the United States within the quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic in March.

This shall be Altuve’s first sport of the season. His return is sweet news for the Astros, who’re on a four-game successful streak. They are 24-19 and in second place within the American League West standings, trailing behind the Texas Rangers.

Before his return, Altuve performed 5 video games within the minor league in six days. He went 1-13 with the Sugar Land Cowboys and 1-9 with the Corpus Christi Hooks.
