Gillespie’s newest movie sees Paul Dano and Seth Rogen battle it out over GameStop inventory in a story impressed by the real-life tug-of-war between unbiased retail buyers on Reddit and giants on Wall Street.
When hedge fund managers like Gabe Plotkin (Rogen) guess billions in opposition to the corporate’s brick-and-mortar business, Keith Gill (Dano) wages a warfare that sees shares surge.
But Gillespie’s Dumb Money is something however dumb — and its sharp humour is assured to get fun out of even essentially the most financially illiterate. Through titan performing performances, memes and a killer soundtrack, Dumb Money takes audiences on a laugh-out-loud humorous, bittersweet journey of rags to riches.
