Winnipeg police arrest Peter Nygard in alleged 1993 sex assault
Disgraced Canadian vogue mogul Peter Nygard has been arrested by Winnipeg police in reference to a historic intercourse assault from 1993.
The Winnipeg Police Service says it arrested Nygard Wednesday on the detention centre in Toronto, the place he stays in custody.
The former vogue entrepreneur was first charged in Toronto in 2021 with a number of counts of sexual assault and forcible confinement, and is scheduled to face trial in September.
Winnipeg police say the 81-year-old is now being charged with sexual assault and illegal confinement following an unbiased evaluation by Saskatchewan Justice.
