Wildfire crews battling fire near Lions Bay – BC | 24CA News

Firefighters are working via the night time to get the higher hand on a wildfire burning round two kilometres south of Lions Bay.

As of 9:52 p.m. Sunday, the fireplace was being held.

“The fire was first reported around 5:30 p.m., June 4th and is currently being actioned by two initial attack crews with the support of one helicopter,” in line with Fire Information Officer Kimberly Kelly.

“Initial attack crews are four people, one crew leader and three crew members.”

On Sunday night, the BC Wildfire Service informed Global News a reason for the fireplace has not been discovered.
