Vancouver elementary school to reopen in a few days instead of months – BC | 24CA News

Parents of scholars who attend Sir James Douglas Elementary School had been initially advised the varsity must be closed for months because of flooding damages, however now college officers say it would solely be a couple of days till courses resume.

In a letter to folks obtained by Global News, mother and father are being advised the 527 college students will be capable to return to the varsity on Jan. 5, 2023.

“What I can let you know today is that we can commit to having classes back in session for Thursday, January 5, 2023,” wrote Kevin Land and Meghan Gomes, principal and vice-principal of the varsity.

“We understand this extends the winter break by a couple of days and presents challenges for families in arranging childcare.”
