Two dozen displaced after motel fire in Penticton – Okanagan | 24CA News

A motel hearth in Penticton on Friday evening has displaced 24 individuals.

The hearth occurred on the two-storey Black Forest Motel, positioned alongside the 700 block of Westminster Avenue.

Flames broke out of a second-corner unit someday round 9 p.m., displacing the 2 dozen residents who all bought out safely.

The Penticton Fire Department instructed Global News that the blaze was contained to the one suite, although an adjoining suite sustained some water harm.

No accidents have been reported and Emergency Support Services has stepped in to assist the affected residents.

One particular person was taken to hospital, however that was unrelated to the hearth.
