Train service on UP Express resumes from downtown Toronto to airport – Toronto | 24CA News
Trains between downtown Toronto and the airport resumed Sunday morning after emergency upkeep work suspended service on Saturday.
The Union Pearson Express, operated by provincial transit company Metrolinx between Union Station and Toronto Pearson International Airport, lowered after which halted service on Saturday attributable to upkeep points.
Service was initially lowered to an hourly practice after which, within the early afternoon, suspended altogether and changed with shuttle buses. The motive cited for the unscheduled disruption was “unexpected maintenance.”

In a press release despatched to Global News, Metrolinx, the provincial transit company that runs the service, stated a hairline crack within the brake discs was discovered on a few of its trains.
In a tweet on Sunday at simply after 5 a.m., UP Express stated it might resume half-hourly service for its trains.
“Thank you for your patience as we made some necessary repairs to our trains,” the tweet stated.
