Trailer fire at North Vancouver terminal seen for kilometres around, no injuries: fire officials – BC | 24CA News

Fire crews on the North Shore knocked down a fireplace inside a parked trailer in an industrial space Sunday night.

The fireplace broke out on the G3 Terminal Vancouver within the City of North Vancouver.

Smoke and flames have been seen pouring into the night time sky and it could possibly be seen for kilometres round.

It occurred within the parking zone of Vancouver Pile Driving, in keeping with Mike Danks, Assistant Fire Chief with North Vancouver City Fire Department.

He says fireplace crews received the decision round 7:20 p.m. after somebody reported listening to an explosion coming from the realm.

“So, we’re on the Vancouver Pile Driving site and they have a roughly 10ft by 30ft ATCO trailer that serves as their lunch trailer,” Danks defined.

During the knockdown of the fireplace Danks says no accidents have been reported.

“It appears that was where the fire started. It did spread to some of that neighboring temporary structures and some of the shoring that’s close by but that was contained quite quickly and that’s due in fact to the quick response from North Vancouver City Fire Department and the District of North Vancouver fire and rescue services.”

The trailer that was the supply of the fireplace was fully destroyed.

Danks provides, a explanation for the fireplace has not been established however says a full investigation will happen Monday morning.

Around 16 firefighters have been on the scene of the fireplace.
