Environment Canada has issued a particular climate assertion for Waterloo Region, Guelph and the encircling counties to warn of some fairly nasty climate for Thursday.
The company says that the realm might start to see freezing rain on Thursday morning, which might shift into heavy rain later within the day.
In addition, the assertion warns of heavy winds starting within the afternoon and into the night that would see gusts of between 60 and 80 km/h.
“Travel conditions may become hazardous due to icy and slippery roads and walkways,” the assertion reads.
“High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Isolated utility outages are possible.”
Environment Canada says there may very well be some flooding in areas with drainage points.
