Severe thunderstorm warning lifted for areas near Red Deer | 24CA News
A extreme thunderstorm may carry hail the dimensions of baseballs or bigger to components of central Alberta.
Late Monday afternoon, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a extreme thunderstorm warning for communities of:
- Red Deer,
- Ponoka,
- Innisfail,
- Sundre,
- Olds,
- Didsbury,
- Rocky Mountain House and
- Caroline, Alta.
ECCC warned the storm may carry sturdy wind gusts and heavy rain. Intense lightning is probably going and tornadoes are doable with thunderstorms.
The federal company advises folks in these areas to take cowl instantly if threatening climate approaches.
The alert was lifted as of seven p.m.
