Pollinator garden, orchard being proposed for Guelph, Ont.’s Eramosa River Park – Guelph | 24CA News
The City of Guelph, Ont., is trying to construct a pollinator backyard and orchard and they’re in search of group enter.
The proposed backyard could be located inside Eramosa River Park between the parking zone and the volleyball courts.
In a news launch, the City mentioned the backyard wouldn’t be used to develop greens because of the lack of a water supply on web site.

They say the pollinator backyard and orchard will as a substitute promote biodiversity by offering further habitat for wildlife like bugs and birds.
The City says the mission will deal with rising pollinator-friendly vegetation, fruit bushes, all types of berry bushes and culinary herbs.
The backyard can even function a chance for volunteers to get entangled with planting and upkeep, harvesting fruits, sharing seeds and utilizing vegetation to make issues like natural teas.
Residents can have their say on the proposed backyard by going to the City of Guelph’s web site.
Deadline for submissions is March 15.
