Police search for senior out in snowstorm east of Lindsay, Ont. – Peterborough | 24CA News

A search continues for a senior reportedly wandering alongside a path throughout Wednesday’s snowstorm east of Lindsay, Ont.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, round 3:40 p.m., officers responded to a request to examine on the well-being of an aged man strolling on the Trans-Canada Trail between Lilac Road and Peace Road, east of Lindsay close to the hamlet of Reaboro.

The man was reportedly sporting “inappropriate clothing” for the climate, together with not sporting pants.

Police say as a result of extreme winter climate, officers launched a search of the world, using the Peterborough Police Service’s canine and drone models together with assist from the OPP’s central area emergency response workforce.

In an electronic mail at 7 p.m. Wednesday, police mentioned the search continues. The man is described as 70 to 80 years previous, tall with a skinny construct. He had a protracted beard and was sporting a brown work-style coat (Tough Duck or Carhartt), a knitted toque, and was not sporting pants.

“Police have not received any other calls concerning a male walking in the area,” police said. “There have been no missing persons reports received.”
