Police respond to second fatal motorcycle collision in Muskoka within a week – Barrie | 24CA News

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a deadly motorbike collision on Peninsula Road close to North Drive within the Township of Muskoka Lakes over the weekend.

On Saturday shortly earlier than 4 p.m., OPP, crews from the Township of Muskoka Lake Fire Department and Muskoka EMS, responded after a motorbike went off the street and collided with a rock lower on Peninsula Road within the Township of Muskoka Lakes.

A 41-year-old rider of the motorbike died.

This crash is the second to occur on Peninsula Road this month. On June 10, Police one other crash occurred on Peninsula Road close to Judhaven Road. OPP say a motorbike drove off the street and collided with a bulldozer, killing the 29-year-old rider.

Peninsula Road was closed in each instructions whereas the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists accomplished their investigation and all lanes have since reopened.
