ALEXANDRIA, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police say a pilot is lifeless and a passenger was injured in a two-seater aircraft crash.
OPP say they responded to the crash shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday on Power Dam Road close to Alexandria, about 100 kilometres southeast of Ottawa.
While the police news launch didn’t present an actual location of the crash, there’s a small rural airport within the space.
Police say the pilot died on the scene and a passenger was despatched to hospital with life-threatening accidents.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says it’s deploying a workforce of investigators after a Cessna 150 accident in Alexandria.
Provincial police are investigating in partnership with the TSB workforce.
