Penticton, B.C. search and rescue locate stuck UTV operator – Okanagan | 24CA News

It was an extended night time for search and rescue crews within the South Okanagan who rescued a UTV operator in misery.

According to Penticton and District Search and Rescue (PENSAR), crews have been referred to as out round 6:30 p.m. Saturday to the Sheep Creek Forest Service Road space after RCMP reported {that a} UTV operator was caught and wanted assist.

“SAR personnel deployed ground teams who hiked into the area and located the stranded UTV,” stated PENSAR member Randy Brown in a press launch.

“SAR manager Mark Pfeifer then deployed two snow machines which attended to complete the evacuation.”

Fifteen PENSAR members have been referred to as out and crews completed the rescue mission round 1:30 a.m.
