The City of Penticton says it has been awarded $500,000 in provincial funding for its lake-to-lake biking route.
The lake-to-lake route is a protected bike lane that runs by way of town’s centre and contains a distance of 6.7 km, together with an estimated price ticket of $8 million.
Currently, 3.8 km of the route is full, with one other 650 metres to be accomplished this 12 months.

“The final section is planned to commence later in 2023 and is subject to budget approval,” town says on its web site of the route.
According to town, the funding got here from the province’s energetic transportation infrastructure grants program.
The route’s estimated $8 million price ticket consists of intersection and sidewalk enhancements.
To date, town has acquired $3.45 million in funding.
