A paraglider needed to be rescued on Friday night he turn out to be entangled in cable and phone traces whereas attempting to make an emergency touchdown.
The City of Vernon says emergency personnel had been referred to as to the 4400 block of thirty second Street (Highway 97) round 7:40 p.m., after a number of studies of a motorized paraglider that was caught round 20 toes off the bottom.
“Firefighters parked a fire engine under the patient to keep him from falling and then used the bucket of a ladder truck to safely remove him, the machine and the parachute from the wires and return them to the ground,” stated the town.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP closed the freeway and rerouted visitors whereas personnel from Vernon Fire Rescue attended the caught paraglider. Traffic was affected for about 20 minutes.
BC Hydro was additionally on scene, though no energy traces had been concerned within the incident.
“It appears the paraglider ran out of fuel and the operator had to make an emergency landing,” stated deputy fireplace chief Alan Hofsink. “The patient was assessed by paramedics on site and no injuries were reported.
