OPP divers recovered the physique of ice fisherman from a lake north of Bancroft on Sunday after he was reported lacking a day earlier.
According to Bancroft OPP, round 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers and members of the emergency response workforce responded to a report a person who had gone out ice fishing on Bark Lake on Friday evening had not returned dwelling.
The lake is situated about 40 kilometres north of Bancroft within the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.
OPP launched a search on Saturday and continued on Sunday till round 11 a.m. when members of the underwater search and restoration unit situated the physique of the lacking particular person.
Police didn’t determine the sufferer. On Monday morning, OPP say the investigation is ongoing and a autopsy examination is being carried out.
